HOW DOES MICRONEEDLING WORKS?
Microneedling works by creating thousands of precise micro-injuries in the skin. This triggers a natural wound-healing cascade, releasing growth factors and stimulating fibroblasts to produce fresh collagen and elastin. Over time, this remodels the skin tissue, resulting in a firmer, smoother, and more refined appearance.
HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED?
The number of sessions depends on your specific skin concerns. For general rejuvenation, a course of 3 treatments is often recommended. For deep acne scarring or more significant texture issues, 4 to 6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart may be necessary to achieve optimal clinical results.
WHEN IS MICRONEEDLING NOT ADVISED?
Microneedling is not advised for those with active skin infections, active acne in the treatment area, a history of keloid scarring, or during pregnancy. It is also contraindicated for individuals on certain blood-thinning medications or those who have had radiation treatment in the last year.
DOES MICRONEEDLING HAVE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
The most common side effect is mild redness and swelling, similar to a sunburn, which typically lasts 24-48 hours. Some patients may experience minor dryness or flaking as the skin renews. Detailed aftercare is provided to ensure safe and comfortable healing.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS??
While an immediate 'glow' can be seen within the first week, major structural changes like improved texture and reduced scarring take time. Final results typically emerge 4 to 12 weeks after treatment as your body completes its natural collagen building process.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
The treatment is generally very safe. Professional medical-grade microneedling minimizes risks. You may notice temporary pinpoint bleeding during the procedure, followed by mild erythema. Rare side effects could include bruising or pigment changes if aftercare instructions aren't followed carefully.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MICRONEEDLING?
Immediately after treatment, your skin will look flushed and feel tight. We provide soothing post-treatment products to calm the skin. You should avoid direct sun exposure, makeup, and heavy exercise for 24-48 hours.
